- chronique de l'album (site norvégien) :
Not long ago I received their debut album Resilience, and after a lot of playing lately I have really started to like this bands music. The band plays melodic metal with some progressive and symphonic elements. With the opener Sandstorm they kicks off with a nice up tempo melodic metal oriented song. The instrumentation is delicate with great guitars, floating keyboards and with Carole Rainsard`s vocals on top this sounds nice! Faster Than The Past is even faster than the first in a more power metal oriented style. The song changes into a bit slower tempo when the vocals enters, but throughout we are served different tempos and small fine instrumental parts. In The Middle Of Nowhere opens like a ballad, but also here they manage to catch me as listener with blending styles and different tempos. The vocals is really nice in this tune and the slow emotional part at the end is great! Dark Secret opens with piano, a more straight forward song with a good melody and the choirs here are cool. I also fell for the guitarplaying throughout in this song with small solos and cool details. The Real Me is also an interesting song with diverse styles, a good melody and really fine keys in this, and at the end the song speeds up in tempo. Grave Issues has one of my favorite melodie lines, the fine verses leads us to rememberable chorus lines. End Of Me sounds progressive in the start, but gets a more melodic feel when the vocals enters the song. The instrumental part in this has a medieval style with fine guitars and keys. Naked opens with piano, partly a more emotional song and the vocals in this are really fine. Last Judgement is also a song with a wide variety of styles, and a song I like better and better for each listening. The titletrack Resilience opens emotional with Carole`s vocals, a great melodic song that sparkles with real life when it kicks off with cool riffing guitars. Envole- toi is a fast track with a nice melody, and also the last track Dark Forces is partly a fast song, but with different instrumental parts with cool details. All in all I like this band, and their style takes a step away from the ordinary in this genre with lot of cool technical details and from song to song they manage to keep my attention with their variety. So I look forward to follow this band in the future to see their development on their next release! 93/100
